Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Mason's family. It was our little family and all 3 of his siblings. His sister who has 2 girls slept over Christmas Eve, so we all woke up together. I found out how much Max loves animals, he squeals when he pets dubs, Mason's parents dog. And the animals are so cute with him. We also made sugar cookies for Santa.

Poor Max got a cold the day after we got to Utah and he wasn't doing to good on Christmas eve. We went to put him to bed and decided after a little bit he needed some medicine, but because he had so much flem and he got so upset after I put the medicine in his mouth he just threw it all up. It was so sad and I felt so bad for him. So after another dose he kept it down. We decided to let him hang out with us for a bit to make him happy.

We finally all settled in for the night and waited for Santa to come.

Arriving in Utah

We flew into Utah on Tuesday the 21st of December. When we got here I realized I forgot how cold it gets.

We went to claim our luggage and Max's car seat was missing. So we had to borrow one from Southwest. Which wasn't to bad, and we got to pick it up for a $50 travel voucher :).

So when we got there we stopped by Mason's parents to say hello and then met up with my sister Emily and our friend Lindsay, for Lindsay's birthday brunch. We were going to go to Eggs in the City but didn't realize they closed at 2pm(it was a very late brunch). So Emily suggested Blue Plate Diner. It was all very yummy and a fun place, to bad I didn't take any pictures.

After that we headed up to my moms house. She does Raw Food for a family in Park City so Emily helped her out with that while we hung out and talked. It was a very nice first day.

Little crawler boy

Max is crawling EVERYWHERE now. He does not like to sit still for long and always goes strait for the computer desk or other things he shouldn't touch. He is so funny and loves to stand up on anything he can hold onto. He also is doing the cutest thing where he wrinkles his nose up and shows his teeth while breathing really fast, It makes me laugh. He also likes to pretend cough so Mason or I say "Oh are you ok!?". He is getting such a little personality and I love seeing it grow more and more.

Here are some pictures from the other night of him crawling up and down the hall.

Our weekend and an Army Christmas

Over the weekend we drove out to Mason's grandparents to go to Tresa's(Mason's sister) army Christmas party. We had a good time and I held a real gun for the first time, a Beretta M-19(I think?). I felt pretty cool. They served a lunch and had a band playing, and it was just nice to be there together hanging out.

While at Mason's grandparents we did a lot of laundry to get ready for Utah, and because it costs us to do laundry at our apartment.

We did a lot of pandora Christmas radio listening and watched all the Christmas specials, like The Office(which is just going further and further down hill), 30 Rock(not as good as the old seasons but still rooting for it), Modern Family(still not sure if we still want to keep watching this one, it started out so good the first season and has disappointed all this season) And best for last Community( Mason and I like this one the best) It was so great and I loved the stop motion animation for Christmas.

We took it easy on Sunday just hanging out at home. And Mason and Max had a nice morning together just laughing and hanging out. I folded all our laundry and now we are onto another week to get through. And then next week UTAH!!
How was your weekend?

Excited!

I am so excited for Utah! For one I get to see these people:

And I love visiting home. Being at my moms house while she makes me yummy food. It is so cozy at my moms. She has informed me that her tree is up and all the Christmas stuff is out. I love having long talks with my mom and driving to Salt Lake and going to cute coffee shops together. I am also so excited to see my little sister Emily. We used to be inseparable growing up. And I miss that. I miss car rides listening to Death Cab For Cutie. Emily and I are going to go through all of our old toys and things at my moms, I love doing that and reminiscing about things.

I also get to go to brunch with our friend Lindsay for her birthday who I have known for like 14 years? yeah we go way back. Her family was pretty much mine and Emily's second family growing up. And we get to see all of them.

And I get to see my friends I grew up with, Stacy, Kaitlin, Hayley, Kyle, and Jo. Oh I am so excited to laugh with them and for them to meet my Maximus some of them for the first time! I can't believe this will be their first time meeting him and he is almost 9 months old. But we are going to watch our old crazy movies we used to make which should be a grand ol' time. I miss them so much

I get to see my brother's Josh and Ben, and Meggie, Ben's girlfriend. I am so excited!!

We get to see Mason's family who I love! We get to spend time at his parents and seeing his sister Alexis and her two girls Savannah and Seinna.

Oh I love Christmas and family.

Only 1 week and 3days!

Me and my boy

Max can be such a mommy's boy. And I love it, most of the time. He loves me to hold him as I do things and every time I am near he crawls over and pulls himself onto my lap. Or if I'm sitting in a chair he tries to pull himself up on the chair to sit with me. He has to drink out of the glass that I am drinking from, every time I take a sip Max gets a sip. He gives me the cutest smiles, I love it when I'm being silly or say something funny he almost give me a smile like he gets the joke. We have a lot of fun together, and of course when daddy is there the three of us have the best time.
He has also let me rock him to sleep again, he didn't want it for a little while. But now he puts his head on my shoulder and moans himself to sleep.

He loves the beginning of Toy Story 2. Just the beginning though, as soon as the video game part with buzz is over he is done. But whenever I put it on for him he squeals and gives me the cutest smile as soon as he see's the Disney castle. It is the cutest thing.

He is also loving his new freedom of crawling everywhere. And pulling himself up to stand.

He loves it when I give him Eskimo kisses. And I love love love his big slobbery open mouth kisses :).

bubbles

Since Max has been crawling so much I wanted to vacuum. And since he is afraid of the vacuum Mason took him outside to blow bubbles. Mase is such a great dad. Max loves his bubbles and his daddy.

At the park

Today is such a beautiful day here in California so I decided to take Max out. So we took a walk to our nearby park.
He got to play in the sand for the first time and we swung while he watched the other kids play.

He was fascinated by the sand and loved rubbing it in his hands.

My handsome boy

After we played in the park, I laid out a blanket under a tree and we ate snacks, played the harmonica, and read books.
Max loves to put his fingers in the holes in "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". And eat the books.
We enjoyed some yummy snacks. And took in all the beautiful colours of the trees.
And then Max discovered my lens cap to my camera, and tried to eat it.
The trees around here are so pretty and so many different colours. That is one thing I love about living in California we get fall all winter pretty much. We can go to Utah and enjoy the snow but after we get to come back home and enjoy this:
