Finally, A nice day to be outside

We played outside yesterday for the first time in a month or more. It has just been so cold and with the inversion not very healthy for the kids to be outside, especially when they both have had a bad cough for over a week.
But it was so warm and sunny yesterday I couldn't keep them in, we didn't even need coats! So we pulled out the bikes, chalk, and balls. It was nice to use our yard for the first time with our fence all around it and grass laid. After playing outside for awhile we went in to snuggle, watch a show, and eat some snacks.
It makes me so excited for more warm weather to come our way.

The move

We have moved, from sunny California to cold Utah. And we are loving it. I love being close to family and our new house is so cozy.

Friday January 29th Mason's parents came out and we loaded up the moving truck all day, Then drove to his grandparents for the night. The next day Max and I flew out to Utah.
I was nervous flying alone with him again, but he was AWESOME! The first flight he was cute and happy, although very squirmy. I could tell he just needed to fall asleep. We had a layover in Phoenix. Which when I got off I had time to go to the bathroom(which isn't very easy traveling with a baby and no stroller...) and then they announced that our flight was boarding. The second flight Max just fell asleep after we took off and slept the entire flight. It was great.
Max and I spent the night at Mason's parents. Then Sunday Mason and his parents arrived with the truck.
We moved all our stuff in Monday. And had a nice dinner at Spaghetti Factory with Mason's family.
So now we just keep unpacking, which is going to take awhile...

So yes we are now Utahans again.

Bringing in 2011

For New Years Eve we spent it over at Mason's sister Lexi's house. We watched the countdown in times square, ate pizza, and other yummy treats. We tried to put Max to sleep in their office, which he did sleep for an hour. But when he woke up at 11pm we decided it would be best to head back over to Masons parents to get him to bed and spend the rest of the night just the three of us. When we got there Max stayed up with us and we counted down to midnight together. We spent the first second of the new year in a family hug, and a kiss between me and Mason :).
We had a very eventful wonderful year(more on that later) And I look forward to what this year will bring, including MOVING TO UTAH. Yep that's right, you read that right. We decided for different reasons but mainly family and a better social life. So that will be a big change.

Chrismas Dinner

For Christmas dinner we headed over to my moms house. Max was all cute in his new outfit and had all his new toys to play with. I watched as my mom and Emily prepared the delicious dinner of Vegan lasagna, french bread, a yummy salad, and for the occasion Champagne. After we set the table we opened gifts to each other. We got Emily and Colin a nice Pie plate, my mom a shirt, And nothing for Josh(we saved it for boxing day when Ben and Meggie would be there). My mom gave me a cute brown sweater, Mason a nice shirt, and Max a cute long sleeve striped shirt, a short sleeve airplane shirt and a cool mother goose electronic book. And Emily and Colin got us How to Train Your Dragon on blueray with a yummy brownie mix.

After opening gifts we put Max to bed and ate our wonderful dinner while we talked and just enjoyed being together.

Arriving in Utah

We flew into Utah on Tuesday the 21st of December. When we got here I realized I forgot how cold it gets.

We went to claim our luggage and Max's car seat was missing. So we had to borrow one from Southwest. Which wasn't to bad, and we got to pick it up for a $50 travel voucher :).

So when we got there we stopped by Mason's parents to say hello and then met up with my sister Emily and our friend Lindsay, for Lindsay's birthday brunch. We were going to go to Eggs in the City but didn't realize they closed at 2pm(it was a very late brunch). So Emily suggested Blue Plate Diner. It was all very yummy and a fun place, to bad I didn't take any pictures.

After that we headed up to my moms house. She does Raw Food for a family in Park City so Emily helped her out with that while we hung out and talked. It was a very nice first day.

Excited!

I am so excited for Utah! For one I get to see these people:

And I love visiting home. Being at my moms house while she makes me yummy food. It is so cozy at my moms. She has informed me that her tree is up and all the Christmas stuff is out. I love having long talks with my mom and driving to Salt Lake and going to cute coffee shops together. I am also so excited to see my little sister Emily. We used to be inseparable growing up. And I miss that. I miss car rides listening to Death Cab For Cutie. Emily and I are going to go through all of our old toys and things at my moms, I love doing that and reminiscing about things.

I also get to go to brunch with our friend Lindsay for her birthday who I have known for like 14 years? yeah we go way back. Her family was pretty much mine and Emily's second family growing up. And we get to see all of them.

And I get to see my friends I grew up with, Stacy, Kaitlin, Hayley, Kyle, and Jo. Oh I am so excited to laugh with them and for them to meet my Maximus some of them for the first time! I can't believe this will be their first time meeting him and he is almost 9 months old. But we are going to watch our old crazy movies we used to make which should be a grand ol' time. I miss them so much

I get to see my brother's Josh and Ben, and Meggie, Ben's girlfriend. I am so excited!!

We get to see Mason's family who I love! We get to spend time at his parents and seeing his sister Alexis and her two girls Savannah and Seinna.

Oh I love Christmas and family.

Only 1 week and 3days!

'tis the season

for sickness, Mason and I both have sinus cold crap going on and its not fun.
But it is also the holiday season, and now that wonderful Thanksgiving is over I am so excited for Christmas!
Mason and I are lucky enough to be able to go home to our family's in Utah this Christmas.
It will be Max's first Christmas and there will be snow for him!

This is how Max and I spend most of our days...

cuddled up, me in my pj's with my crazy Bellatrix Lestrange looking hair, Max most of the time just in a onsie our t-shirt and socks. And we get to play all day.
We took a lovely 2 hour nap together today, I decided I should since I am sick and he kept me up a lot last night. He is just so restless at night lately.
I have also been drinking a lot of hot chocolate, to stay cozy and make it feel more like Christmas time. Even though its a nice 72 degrees here today.
Oh I am so excited for snow.

Baby Shower

The beautiful Host

Mason and I went to Utah for New years this year. We drove out on Thursday the 31st with his parents and spent New Years Eve with my mom. On Saturday my sister Emily and my brother Ben threw me the funnest baby shower. It was so sweet of them. Ben made the small lunch which consisted of Bruschetta, potato finger things with goat cheese, and Parmesan crisps, it was all very delicious. Then for dessert he did small round brownies with cream cheese frosting on top with raspberries and raspberry sauce. We played three games and just talked and laughed and caught up since most of us had not seen each other for awhile. Then I opened all the wonderful gifts. It was nice to also spend time with Masons family and our two cute neices on Saturday evening and Sunday. Mason and I flew home on Sunday, it was a short trip but we made the most of it.
