A Sweet Story

Yesterday after I put Max down for his second nap of the day I decided to relax. I made myself some toast and put on Terms of Endearment, which I knew would make me bawl but I was in the mood for a good movie.
About half an hour into it Max woke up. So I brought him downstairs and played with him as I watched the movie. He would crawl down the hall and look back at me to make sure I was going to chase after him. then try to crawl faster and scream and laugh as I came after him.
Near the end of the movie, of course I started crying. If you haven't seen it be prepared. As I sat there on the floor crying wiping my tears with a tissue, Max crawled up onto my lap, grabbed the tissue and started wiping my eyes for me. Then he leaned in and gave me a big opened mouth kiss on the lips, then continued to wipe my eyes. It was the sweetest thing in the world.
So thank you my sweet Maximus for taking care of me so well.

11 months

Max turned 11 months last Thursday, I can't believe he is going to be 1 year old next month! My little baby is getting so big. He is so sweet and fun. Here are things Max does at 11 months:

-He loves to point, if anyone says "Hi" to him he points at something.

-He loves lights and fans. Whenever he see's one he points and goes "oooo"

-He still loves his bath time. When I start filling up the tub he stands by and screams with joy.

-He loves his daddy and his mommy. He gets so excited when daddy comes home from work he crawls right to him(we are still working on the walking thing although he is a great stander).

-He loves to say "dadada" "daddy" and wine for "mum-mummy"

-He gives the sweetest kisses, big open mouthed. He will even just do it without being asked and lean into me for a kiss, I LOVE it :D.

-He loves music and will bounce his bum to it. He especially loves Incubus, what can I say he is his daddy's son.

-He loves when mommy brushes his teeth and gets excited for it.

-He does the cutest little "ahhhhhh..." when we spin him or when he is playing with his toys.

-He does not like baby food anymore, he wants whatever we are eating or food chopped up for him to feed himself.

-He loves teething biscuits and so do I, they keep him busy for awhile.

-He loves going to Grandma and Grandpas, he loves the dogs and their little kitchen play set. He will sit for awhile opening and shutting the doors and putting things in them.

-He already has a secret hiding spot. In the wooden cradle in his room under his big teddy bear, I found lots of puzzle and train set pieces. I see him go over to it and take things out and look at them then put them back.

I love you my Maximus!!

New shoes for Max and a space for me

On Saturday Mason and I headed out to Ikea for lunch and some shopping. We went to get me a desk where I can do all my projects and painting and stuff. SO we enjoyed a yummy lunch and then found me the perfect desk and chair, well we got two desks and put them together so I would have more space. so at the end of our shopping Mason went to get the car for Max and I. Then I got a call that our back right tire was completely flat. Thank goodness for family so close, Mason's parents came to our rescue. We changed to a spare and drove to a car shop.
So on Sunday we took it in for them to finish some things up, and to pass the time we walked around the mall. We figure Max needs some shoes for when he starts walking around this summer so we got him a couple of pairs to start him out...He has such chubby wide feet we had to go with the wider skater shoes.
He looks so adorable in them, but is still not so sure of them.

And now I present my work space...

I love it so much I have all my things within reach. It is up in our loft in our master bedroom. We also have the desktop computer and desk all set up and Mason's music stuff, AND a mini fridge with yummy stuff soon to be in it. Poor Mason got 5 blisters from putting the legs on both desks, all because he loves me :).

Happy Valentines Day!

For Valentines Mason surprised me last Wednesday that we were going out to lunch and going to see Ballet Wests performance of Sleeping Beauty! I have such an awesome husband :). So Saturday we dropped Max off at Masons parents and headed to lunch. We were planning on Bonsai but we realized it wasn't open till 4pm so we settled on Paradise Cafe. We got to the ballet and loved it. It was so fun and there were so many cute little girls all dressed up and so excited about being at a Ballet(I can't wait to have a little girl to share stuff like this with). After spending our lovely time together we picked up Max, who could have cared less if we didn't come back for a few more hours, he loves his Grandma and Grandpa.

So for Valentines Day today Mason woke up and made us all yummy waffles with our new awesome waffle maker I got for Christmas from his parents. Mason ran out last night to grab all the yummy stuff for the toppings. They turned out soo good.So we decided since Bonsai was closed when we wanted to go we are going to go as a family tonight for dinner, I can't wait!

I am so lucky to have such a sexy, handsome, loving husband who knows me so well. And for a sweet, cute, handsome baby boy who smiles so sweetly at me and calls me "my mum mum mum".
Happy Valentines my Sweethearts ;)

The move

We have moved, from sunny California to cold Utah. And we are loving it. I love being close to family and our new house is so cozy.

Friday January 29th Mason's parents came out and we loaded up the moving truck all day, Then drove to his grandparents for the night. The next day Max and I flew out to Utah.
I was nervous flying alone with him again, but he was AWESOME! The first flight he was cute and happy, although very squirmy. I could tell he just needed to fall asleep. We had a layover in Phoenix. Which when I got off I had time to go to the bathroom(which isn't very easy traveling with a baby and no stroller...) and then they announced that our flight was boarding. The second flight Max just fell asleep after we took off and slept the entire flight. It was great.
Max and I spent the night at Mason's parents. Then Sunday Mason and his parents arrived with the truck.
We moved all our stuff in Monday. And had a nice dinner at Spaghetti Factory with Mason's family.
So now we just keep unpacking, which is going to take awhile...

So yes we are now Utahans again.
