For my boys

Tonight as I laid between you two, Max falling asleep beside me in his bed and Jack on the floor asleep in his bouncer. I thought of how much I love you two and how it wont always be like that, me laying with my two sweet boys. You two will grow up and not need me to help you fall asleep. I laid there trying to soak it in, trying to make a memory to hold onto.
The sweet piano lullaby's playing, Jack's soft breathing, Max holding onto my arm.

I cannot express how much I love you two, I hope you sweet boys will always know how much I love you and how I would do anything to make you happy. I make sure to hug and kiss you two every chance I get and whisper in your ear "I love you my baby". I am excited to see my two boys grow up, you two just get more and more handsome everyday. But for now I can wait. For now I want to savor the smell of Jacks sweet breath when I kiss him and feel Max's cute little arms wrap around my neck when I kneel down to him. I am so lucky I have you two, my sweet boys.

Love, your mommy

Witches Night Out

{Max was pretty confused about the whole thing}

Mason and I went to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village the other night with his sister Lexi and her two girls. It was so crowded! But it ended up being a fun night of people watching. Max was pretty confused with all the crazy dressed up people and loud music. Jack just slept the whole time snuggled up to me in his baby carrier. The girls got their faces painted and we just ended up walking around looking at things and visiting the Disco Witch, who is a good friend of Mason's mom.

It was a good start to get in the spirit for Halloween.

Discovery Gateway

As part of my birthday weekend(I know late post..) we took Max to Discovery Gateway. It's a children's museum at the gateway mall. I hoped Max was old enough to enjoy the different things and it turned out better then I thought it would.

When we got there Max went straight for the "garden" area where there are tons of plastic balls that you can put in holes and tubes and things. It is probably one of his favorite places now.

Max also got pushed down by another kid for the first time. I don't know what to say in that situation. I was just glad his mom got mad at him and took him for a time out. Max was pretty taken back by the whole thing. My poor innocent Max seeing what the world is like, haha. Not that Max is always the perfect kid but he is sweet most of the time., But if he is not sharing I always try and make sure he does and plays nice.

Then we walked around the other areas, he loved the water area also. It was so much fun to see him having such a good time.

We will hopefully be going back again.

My Birthday

Link
I turned 25 September 30th. last Friday. I love my birthday because Mason always goes out of his way to make it so special. Like my first birthday I had while we were together(my 21st) he got me an ipod and took me to Tavern on the Green for dinner...yeah I am lucky.

And every year he makes me breakfast in bed, my choice. This year I chose waffles with strawberries. It was so good even though a little Max child ate most of my strawberries...but he was so cute doing it pointing to each one and saying "yeah?". Then we headed to my choice for lunch Kneaders, I love their veggie avocado on focaccia bread(extra kneaders sauce).

Later on we dropped off Max at Mason's sisters, we are so lucky we have her. It was so nice to have the evening to ourselves(and Jack). We went to dinner at Tsunami and it was delicious. then we headed to a movie. We had bought tickets for Drive but when we went to hand the tickets to the lady taking them she informed us no children under 10 were aloud in rated R movies after 6pm. So we looked to see what movie we could catch before 9 and decided on The Help. I had read the book so I was excited to see it, plus I like Emma Stone. It was good and Jack was so great during it, not one peep. I just had to feed him once, but it was nice because we had the whole front section to ourselves.

So another wonderful birthday over, till next year.

I heart NY

Today is a rainy cloudy day and for some reason its days like this that make me miss New York. Its the place where Mason and I fell in love, where we got engaged, and where we got to know each other so well. We lived there for a year together and it was one of the best part of our lives so far. I think why I miss it on cold dark days like this is because I loved the fall in New York and we spent the whole(pretty miserable) winter there. I remember walking down to the ferry on cold days and then riding the ferry across looking out the windows at New York and most of the time thinking of how lucky I was to live in such a great city. When Mason and I had days off and it was cold and rainy we would stay in our apartment all day and snuggle in bed and watch movies. Other days we would go out to explore the city. One of our favorite places to go was the upper west side by riverside park and going to Tom's Diner(the Seinfeld diner). I remember the cold fall day we took a long walk through the upper park of Central Park, that was the day Mason and I discovered the Museum of Natural History. We got there 10 min before it closed so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. There are so many memories there for us and I miss it so badly sometimes. We have not been back since we moved but I hope to go back soon. I can't wait to take our kids and share with them all of our special places and have them experience that feeling you can only get from New York City.

Jack: 1 month old

Jack turned one month last Friday the 30th(which was also my Birthday). It really does go by faster with the second child. He is getting cute chub in his cheeks and is the sweetest thing ever. He makes the cutest little cooing sounds and when he starts to cry its a sweet little noise then he can get pretty upset quickly. He is looking around a lot more. He has such cute dark blue eyes, I love just staring at them. He is a good sleeper at night, he has started to go about every three hours before he wakes up to eat. I can't imagine my life without this sweet, adorable little boy. I love when he is crying and just the comfort of me when I pick him up is enough to calm him down. I LOVE my sweet little prince.

I had fun editing pictures...
