At the park

Today is such a beautiful day here in California so I decided to take Max out. So we took a walk to our nearby park.
He got to play in the sand for the first time and we swung while he watched the other kids play.

He was fascinated by the sand and loved rubbing it in his hands.

After we played in the park, I laid out a blanket under a tree and we ate snacks, played the harmonica, and read books.
Max loves to put his fingers in the holes in "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". And eat the books.

We enjoyed some yummy snacks. And took in all the beautiful colours of the trees.

And then Max discovered my lens cap to my camera, and tried to eat it.

The trees around here are so pretty and so many different colours. That is one thing I love about living in California we get fall all winter pretty much. We can go to Utah and enjoy the snow but after we get to come back home and enjoy this:

Weekend at Great Grandma and Grandpa Morris'

This last weekend Mason and I decided it was time to head out to his grandparents for a visit. We also had a lot of laundry to do and they are always kind enough to let us do it there. I love going to his grandparents its like a mini vacation. They are nice to talk to and visit with and there is always yummy food. And they have a pretty backyard that is so nice to sit and relax in. The picture above is our Sunday morning breakfast out on the putting green in our Pj's.

After losing all my grandparents, I feel so lucky that I gained such wonderful new grandparents and I love them very much. Max is warming up to them he is still in that stage of not sure of strangers. He is also shy around other people like Mason and I. But after a day and a half he kinda let Great Grandpa hold him. We also got to finally meet Mason's cousin Melanie's baby boy Harvey and he is so cute! It was nice to visit with another new mommy.Then after our wonderful weekend we drove home and Max slept the whole time while Mason and I talked the whole time, I loved it! A Sunday walk

Mason, Maximus, and I had a lazy Sunday. So in the evening we decided to get out of the house and go for a walk to our local park. It was Max's first time to a playground and he was not to impressed, I guess he is still to little to really enjoy the park. Mason went down the slide with him and he just had a straight face. He is so funny when we are around a lot of people he gets quiet and just sits back and observes. But it was a beautiful evening and there was a concert going on at the park with some booths set up. Max got his first balloon from a children store stand. We then walked to the grocery store to grab a couple of things. Then back home. It was such a nice relaxing walk on such a nice night.

The other night after Maximus was in bed I was massaging Mason's shoulders and started playing with his hair. I thought it looked funny so we took some pictures, and Mason makes the best faces. Max you have crazy parents, but hey were fun.
