Mason's Tattoo

Mason had been planning and wanting this tattoo for awhile. He designed it and it represents his bass playing with the bass clefts and then the balance between music and family with the yin yang, then the top fancy M is for me and the bottom masculine M is for Maximus.
I love it. It looks so cool and he put a lot of thought into it.
We will add letters for each kid around the circle.
It was fun to watch it be done and Mase said it didn't hurt until after, but still not to bad.
(he got the tattoo back in the beginning of March)

Easter!

For Easter this year we had a 10am brunch at Mason's parents. Max got a basket of cute little toys, two new outfits, and sandals. We hung out for awhile there and took Max outside to step on the grass for the first time. He was not so sure he kept tiptoeing and wanting to be picked up, it was funny to watch. We got a video of it that I need to put up.

Then we went home and relaxed while Max took a 2 1/2 hour nap :).

For dinner we planned on going to my brother Ben's fiances family dinner because they had invited all my family to get to know each other. But poor Mason had to spend the night at home because he had to get a CT scan the next day(today) for his kidney stones. And because they need to be able to see everything he had to hang out at home and take Laxative. So he did not have a very fun Easter evening.
So I went with my mom to the dinner. It turned out really fun and it was so nice getting to know Meggie's(Ben's Fiance) family. And the food was sooo good, Ben and Meggie are Vegan so they made a really good Saiten dish, I forget what it was called but I am craving some right now. My mom made two delicious sides and then a Vegan carrot cake for dessert, I have to say it was one of the best I have ever eaten and not just cause my mom made it.

My sweet sister Emily gave us all cute, Vegan, chocolate dipped, rice krispie bunny's. And for Max a cute Peter Rabbit finger puppet book and little stuffed bunny from Pottery Barn Kids.

It turned out to be a very fun, yummy, family filled Easter :).

16 weeks

I am 16 weeks pregnant today. I am feeling the baby so much, and I love it. I get so many little kicks and bumps during the day but mostly just before bed. I have been feeling really good and having more energy lately. But I will get those moments of just feeling so tired. Also Max is walking everywhere and can get into everything now. So its a little bit harder chasing after him. I cannot wait to find out if this is a girl or a boy, hopefully in a few weeks. My belly is growing and growing, I have really popped these last couple weeks. I hope you like my nice pajamas. And please excuse the dirty mirror.

And here is a picture of Max wondering why I'm taking a picture and not picking him up:
(just at that moment, I still hold and pick him up.)

Twin Peaks

Mason and I have recently gotten into an old show called Twin Peaks. We just finished the first season and it draws you in so well. Its quirky and has its flaws but with the great characters, good story, and unique music you look past all the little flaws there are and just accept the quirkiness. I love getting into older shows because you don't have to wait forever for the next season, you can just watch it like one big long movie.

The story is about a teenage girl who gets murdered at the very beginning, so an F.B.I. agent, Agent Cooper (pictured below), comes to the town of Twin Peaks to help solve the murder. It gets so good with all the different characters and finding out who's who. It only went for 2 seasons and then they came out with a movie. So we are just waiting for the second season from Netflix. So if you need a fun, interesting, mystery show; start Twin Peaks.

Catch up

So catching up a bit.
It was gorgeous weather on Thursday so Mason and I decided to get out of the house and go for a nice walk. I was craving donuts so we walked to Harmon's and got some, which were very satisfying. Then we walked to Scone Cutters because Harmon's did not have Mason's beloved chocolate bar doughnut. But since it was dinner time, we got a couple of veggie scone sandwiches and enjoyed eating them outside. Then we walked over to f.y.e and found tons of Simpson's season used and cheap, so we got season 6. We also got Tangled on blu-ray, which we had never seen before. It was so fun and I can't wait for more walks when the weather gets nice again.

Friday Mason got the day off and needed to practice the bass for that night, because the band he is in now asked him to play the second half of each set at Club 90. So Max and I just hung out and did some sidewalk chalk as seen below...

He does not get it yet, all he wants to do is put the chalk back into the box after I take it out. Then Max and I enjoyed an evening with my mom. It was so nice to hang out at her house and just talk. Then when she went to take us home at 10pm our power was out at our place. I didn't want to be home alone with my cell phone about to die, no power, and Mason not done with his show till 1am. So I just went back to my moms and tried to sleep till Mason was done. Mase picked us up at 1am and we headed home where the power was back on!

Saturday we just had a lazy day at home and Mase practiced a bit of the bass. Then we walked to Cafe Rio for dinner. When we were done it had started raining a little, so we bundled up Max in his stroller and walked home very fast. Mason went to play at club 90 again and had to drive home in the crazy snow storm that hit us that night. I cant wait for spring to really come.

So there is our last weekend and now its already the next weekend...I have been such a lazy blogger lately. I am determined to be more blogger active.

14 weeks

I am now 14 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy is going by a lot faster because I have a little Max to look after. But I am trying to stop and remember to enjoy this pregnancy. I know they say its kinda to early to feel anything but I have felt a lot of little flutters lately and I love it so much. I am getting bigger faster this time around because it is my second but its nice to have a little belly so people will hopefully know I'm pregnant and not just pudgy:). I can't wait till we find out if its a boy or a girl which should only be in about 5 weeks or so! We have doctors appointment next Friday and I am so excited to hear the heartbeat again.

Max of course does not know anything different about my belly except that I tell him to be careful of it a lot and I jump if he falls on me. He is getting to be such a good walker, we just have to get him better at walking in shoes.
He joined me for my belly photo shoot.

Maximus is 1!

We had a party for Max on Saturday before his Birthday. We did it at Mason's parents and just had a few friends over and family. Max was so happy the whole time I loved it.
We had a sandwich bar so everyone with their different diets would each have something for them. Mason and I decided to get a vegan cake since we like doing vegan when we can and a few vegans would be attending. We got it from Cake Walk in Salt lake and it turned out really yummy.
We did a dinosaur theme since that is one thing Max seems to take an interest in. It was so fun and relaxing. It went smoother then I thought.
The Cake!

And now there is no going back

On his Birthday, which is March 17th, yep St. Patrick's Day. He woke up to his present from Mason and I. We got him a Buzz Lightyear action figure. He was so happy when he saw the packaging, it was very cute. Then for breakfast we gave him mini waffles with a candle on top.
I love that smile
Then for his Birthday dinner we went out with family to The Mayan restaurant. I thought he would like all the cool things to touch and the waterfall and divers. And he loved it. He loved going around the waiting area and looking in all the big jugs. And he loved the water. The food was ok but the fun time with everyone was worth it. Then Max got sung "Happy Birthday" by us and our waiter.
It was a wonderful night and a good way to celebrate our 1 year old!
Before putting Max to bed I made sure to get in all the 'Happy Birthday's' I could.

Surprise!

I am pregnant!
I am now almost 13 weeks along and due September 27th. It was a big surprise to us but we are SO excited and glad Maximus gets a little brother or sister.

{at 10 weeks}

now for the story:
When we got back from Utah in January after our nice long Christmas vacation with family I started feeling nauseous pretty much every morning. I thought it was maybe stress from getting ready to move to Utah. But then a week before we moved I threw up in the morning. Mason and I both looked at each other and thought the same thing, I wasn't pregnant, was I? So we went and got some pregnancy tests and sure enough it was positive, then I took another one, positive. Then just to be sure the next morning I took a third test, positive again. So Mason and I said, we can do this. I was nervous at first thinking of Max and how he would be a older brother at 18 months but then I got excited and happy that they will be close. So now Mason and I are just filled with excitement for this new little sweet baby to be apart of our family.

We got to hear the heartbeat last Friday and it is one of the best things. It made me feel more connected to this little cutie. I can't wait till we get to see our little baby on the ultrasound or when I feel the movements inside my belly.

Nectarines

Max loves fruit and especially sharing a sweet, juicy, nectarine with daddy.
And daddy loves sharing with his Maximus.

Oh I love those chunky legs! Not as chunky as they used to be though...
