Hulk Smash!

 Jack got this awesome Hulk costume from our good friends and neighbors the Kim's. Jack LOVES Hulk and had a Hulk birthday party so this was so exciting for him. He also got this awesome car for his Birthday from Mason's parents.
It is so hilarious and somewhat creepy when Max and Jack wear it around the house.

"Hulk drive car!"
 And just a cute one of Jack and Leon

Tresa and Eric are having a...

 BABY GIRL!
Mason's sister Tresa and her husband Eric are expecting their first baby, a girl! Due February 22nd 2015! They surprised the other cousins with cupcakes with letters on them that they had to un-scramble. It was so cute to see their reactions and we are all excited to welcome the 6th grandchild and 3rd grand-daughter!

 {Chelsea and Lydia}
My best friends(4 sisters) who I have known since I was in 5th grade and who have became pretty much my sisters came over to visit back in August. I do not see them nearly enough! Chelsea came from Texas where she is living with her husband and sweet baby girl Lydia, Haley lives down in Utah county with her husband and brought her adorable little Marlie. Karlee also came and Lindsay dropped by for a bit. We had the best childhood memories and my sister Emily and I pretty much lived at their house half the time. It was so nice to catch up and finally meet their cute babies!

Hangs on the porch

In August we hung out on our front porch a lot. With little baby Leon and I on the swing and the boys running around out front. Max and Jack also got really into Angry Birds Star Wars. I used to not like angry birds because I felt like the game was so dumb and it was taking over everything, but the kids really love the games on our iPad and my phone and they got so excited when we found a bunch on clearance at Target. So because I am so persuaded by their excitement and happiness I gave in. But it has been fun because you actually build things out of the blocks to knock it down with the little bird figures and I love them using their imagination with it. So there is my plug for Angry Birds Star Wars ;).
 Some great pictures to follow:

July 4th 2014

Our July 4th was so fun this year. Leon was only two weeks old so we skipped the parade this year and decided to go to the Natural History Museum of Utah. We got there and had lunch, and Jack spilled lemonade all over and it spilled all over Max's shorts. Max was so upset so we just let him roam the museum in his underwear :). The kids loved it and it was so nice to be in a air conditioned museum with a new baby then outside in the heat. We saw dinosaurs and evolution,  we created our own earthquakes and saw lots of different rocks. For dinner we headed over to my second cousins new house for a BBQ. It was nice to see all the family I never get to see any other time. After dinner we went home and hung out in front of our house with a few of our neighbors to watch fireworks. It was so awesome to be able to see almost all of the fireworks from Salt Lake Valley from the comforts of our front porch.

There was so many yummy treats everyone brought for the Firework watching

June {catch up}

So I have decided to finally *try* and catch up on my blog. I love being able to look back all these posts and memories and I have been so horrible about keeping up with life on here. So here it goes...
June 2014, Max finished Pre-school and had the cutest end of the year program. I love the picture (above) I got of him and his teacher Miss Cassie. the end of June my sister Becky came out with our mom and her 4 kids to visit and also so Becky could be here when I gave birth to Leon. We had so much fun and it was so nice having them while I was waiting on Leon to come. We gave my niece and two nephews their late Birthday presents while they were visiting (we are horrible at getting gifts out to them in California on their actual Birthdays). We gave them each a Ukulele, perks of owning a guitar store ;). They loved them and it was so fun to surprise them.  I was so excited to also finally meet my new nephew Elijah who was 4 months at the time.
Max and Jack LOVED having their cousins here, Max thought it was the coolest thing that he had two boy cousins who wanted to play video games with him all the time. And Jack and Analynn are so cute together, Jack loves her and talks about her all the time still.

Leon is 1 month old!

On July 20th my Leon turned one month old. It really is crazy how quickly babies grow and change in a month, especially the third baby. Leon is our littlest baby so far, he still fits into all of his newborn clothes and diapers. But he is gaining that cute baby chub, at least chub by his standards. He is a good eater but has gotten a little more fussy with gas problems :(.
He is such a little happy guy in between sleeping, eating, and fussing. He has started to smile and I can tell he is trying to make noises back to us when we talk to him. He loves his binky and his brothers, they love it when he smiles at them or even looks at them.
We sure do love this tiny guy of ours!

Leon Timothy

Leon Timothy
June 20th, 2014
 10:41pm
6lbs 10oz
20inches long

At my 40week appointment when my doctor went to check Leon's heartbeat it sounded different, slower. Just when I was about to ask if that was ok my doctor said "that's a little too slow, I am going to send you downstairs just to be safe". His heartbeat was at 100bpm when it is usually at 135bpm. Mason and I were both scared for our little guy and just wanted to make sure everything was ok. So we went down to Labor and Delivery to monitor his heart and check the amniotic fluid. After being monitored for an hour everything checked out fine and his heart rate came back up and the fluid looked good. After that scare my doctor sent us in for non stress tests every other day, where I get hooked up to monitor his heart for a half an hour. We did the first one the following day and he looked great the whole time. We went back on Friday the 20th and they noticed when I would have a small contraction Leon's heart rate would drop. So the nurse called my doctor, she came right in and talked to us and explained that our best option was to head down to labor and delivery and get induced. Because his heart rate would drop with a contraction she worried going longer he may not be able to handle the stress of delivery.
We were excited/nervous and just wanted everything to be ok with our little Leon. I got all checked in and they started me on Pitocin at around 5:00pm. After about an hour the doctor came and broke my water
I had already decided to go natural like I did with both Max and Jack, being induced was different and a lot harder with my water broken because it made the contractions more intense. I wanted the nurse to check me because the contractions were getting really intense, I was only at a 5. It was frustrating but a moved to my other side during a bad contraction and felt a lot of pressure and then the contraction were one on top of another, the nurse(she was awesome) checked me and I was at a 8! I was so relieved to hear that. I asked if  I could start pushing because it just kept getting more and more intense but the nurse said "I don't want to catch a baby!" The doctor showed up quickly and when I asked her if I could push she said go ahead, two pushes and there was our handsome little Leon! The cord was wrapped around his neck twice and then over his shoulder and around his waist. So that explained the whole heart rate dropping, and it was so good I got induced so he didn't get any bigger with that cord like that. When they put him on my chest I couldn't believe how tiny he was.
I just felt so lucky, happy, and relieved to have my sweet baby boy in my arms FINALLY!

We love you our little Leon baby.
