Fourth of July

We had one of the best fourth of July's this year. We spent the day with Mason's mom, dad, and sister Tresa. We started out the day at the Murray City Parade, Mason's parents ran the 5K before the parade and had saved a spot for us all the watch it. They put on a really good parade with lots of candy throwing(Max and Jack's favorite part). They also had a little fair with blow up slides and bounce houses, we let Max and Jack go in the big Tiger bounce house before we left, to have a late breakfast/early lunch at Denny's.
After we all got some nice naps at Mason's parents we headed to The Gateway to see Despicable Me 2. Both kids were awesome sitting through the whole movie, popcorn and candy helped as distractions :).  After the movie Max was so excited to show Grandma and Grandpa the "Planet Store"(Clark Planetarium). We ended our day out at Coachman's, eating some good comfort food.
To finish off our awesome fourth we did some fireworks and sparklers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

July Fourth {part 2}

In the afternoon everyone from my family showed up for a BBQ and swimming at our house. Everyone (except my dad who flew in that night) was there including, Emily, Colin, My mom, Brad, Ben, Meggie, Josh, Becky, Shane, Jonah, Isaiah, and Analynn.
It was so much fun and turned out a lot better then I expected. everyone had fun swimming for awhile while we got the food ready. Mason and I made a vegan and vegetarian potato salad and had chips and lemonade for everyone. Everyone just brought their own things to grill. and Ben and Meggie brought some of their yummy vegan chocolate chip cookies. We hung out and just talked, then when it got later we all headed over to Mason's parents for fireworks in their circle. We enjoyed talking and eating watermelon while we waited for it to get dark.
After the fireworks Mason and I headed to the airport to pick up my dad who flew in from Ontario, Canada for Ben and Meggie's wedding.

July Fourth {part 1}

{after their race.}
I know I am WAY late on this post but being pregnant and taking care of a 16 month old takes up a lot of my time.
But on to July fourth...

This year it was so fun to be here in Utah with so much family around, Becky and Shane and their kids were in town for my brother Ben's wedding. Since Mason and I didn't feel like going to a parade and fighting crowds we decided to meet his mom, dad, and sister Tresa up at the capitol as they came past the finish line of the half marathon. It was such a nice relaxing morning and so cool to be up at the capital. After Mason and I did a little photo shoot on the lawn we headed to meet his family at Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast. Then we headed home to get ready and kinda relax before my whole family came over for a BBQ and swimming. But more on that later.

The Fourth of July!

The fourth of July is kinda a special day for me and Mason. You see 5 Years ago we broke up just before the fourth...that wasn't really great but I think it was necessary for us. Then 3 years ago I flew out to New York on the fourth to see Mason and we fell in love over that visit. Then 2 years ago we moved from New York to California and stopped in Utah for the Fourth. THEN... last year I found out I was pregnant with my sweet Maximus on July 3rd. But this year Mason, Tresa and I went out to Newport Beach to Mason's Aunt Annie's. It was such a fun relaxing Fourth. We sat around and talked and did some sparklers. Ate a delicious dinner with angel food cake with ice cream and strawberries on top. Mason and I hung out at Ann's while everyone else walked down towards the beach to see fireworks. It was not to eventful or anything but I just love sitting around and talking. And I'm sure Max had a fun time on his first Fourth of July.
