December in California 2013 {catch up}

We left Christmas day to drive out to California for Mason's family get together with all his cousins and Aunts and Uncles. We stopped half way in Mesquite, NV for the night and then drove the rest of the way to Orange county where we spent the night in a hotel. Mason got to have a jam session with his old drummer Vega out there and then we headed south to Coronado for the family party. Mason's parents were already out in California for Christmas so we met up with them when we got there. We got to stay on the army base there because Mason's Grandpa is a veteran. It was so nice and right on the beach. We stayed the night and the next day was the family party. It was so nice to see everyone and visit. We stayed one more night and then headed North to Livermore, CA to see my sister.

We spent New years with my sister and her family, it was so fun to see my big sister pregnant at the same time as me. I helped her a little bit to get ready for her baby. Her kids played so great with Max and Jack we were so sad to leave.

Decmber 2013 {catch up}

Back in December we were getting ready for Christmas, we got a package form Aunt Ginny with lots of treats and presents. Including those "cars" crackers for the kids(above). We set up the Christmas tree before we left to Florida so we could enjoy it all month. Aunt Ginny also sent snoopy gingerbread houses that Max and Jack had so much fun putting together.

Max had his first Christmas program with his preschool class, it was the cutest thing. And afterwards he took us to their class tree and gave us an ornament he had made for us! I love it.

We also went to dinner and Temple Square to see the lights with all of Mason's family.
It was a good December

Fourth of July

We had one of the best fourth of July's this year. We spent the day with Mason's mom, dad, and sister Tresa. We started out the day at the Murray City Parade, Mason's parents ran the 5K before the parade and had saved a spot for us all the watch it. They put on a really good parade with lots of candy throwing(Max and Jack's favorite part). They also had a little fair with blow up slides and bounce houses, we let Max and Jack go in the big Tiger bounce house before we left, to have a late breakfast/early lunch at Denny's.
After we all got some nice naps at Mason's parents we headed to The Gateway to see Despicable Me 2. Both kids were awesome sitting through the whole movie, popcorn and candy helped as distractions :).  After the movie Max was so excited to show Grandma and Grandpa the "Planet Store"(Clark Planetarium). We ended our day out at Coachman's, eating some good comfort food.
To finish off our awesome fourth we did some fireworks and sparklers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
