Here in California

Chillin' in the motor home

The paparazzi found us...

We are here in California and having a good time. We drove out on Tuesday in Mason's family's motor home around 11am and got to Mesquite, NV at 6pm. Mason's mom drove the whole time while Mason, me , Max, Tresa(mason's sister), Lexi(Mason's sister) and Lexi's two girls, Savannah and Sienna, relaxed in the back. We swam and Max went down a water slide! Then Wednesday we woke up and headed to California. We got to Mason's grandparents in Moreno Valley at around 2pm. We hung out and ate pizza. And max got to drive the Hummer power wheels car around. This morning(Thursday) we woke up had a nice morning then headed out to the Dunes RV Park here in Newport Beach. Tomorrow we head to the airport pick up Mason's dad, and the other two boys and head to... CALIFORNIA ADVENTURES! I am so excited I feel like a little kid not being able to wait. I can't wait to show max all the cool little things and rides. He has been there before but he was 7 months old, 15 months will be so much more fun. And I can't wait to see Savannah and Sienna's reaction to everything they are 4 so at a good age. Then Saturday is Disneyland! I can hardly wait.

More pictures to come...

On a side note(kinda) Mason had a surgery on Monday where they went up and shattered his kidney stone that has been giving him such a hard time. He was in so much pain right after the surgery, I mean sooo much. But these last couple of days have been bearable. So he has had to be resting the whole time so far and has not been able to pick up Max. But tomorrow he should be a lot better and he can hold Max again. Poor Max just doesn't understand sometimes when he wants daddy to pick him up, but its been good.

My Birthday Weekend: Part 2 Kidney stone

For Saturday we planned on going to the mall for me to spend some of my Birthday money and we needed some things from Target. But since Max hadn't gotten very good naps the last couple of days because of the museums I wanted him to have at least two good naps before we went out. And Mason had a show he was doing down in Santa Ana at 7pm. But after Max's second nap and after I had gotten all ready to go out Mason was feeling pretty sick and starting to feel pain like a Kidney Stone(he would know he has had 3). He knew it was getting worse and instead of waiting till he was on his knees in pain and throwing up we headed to Urgent Care.

After checking in, Mason was in A LOT of pain. We finally got in and they decided to hook him up to an I.V. and give him some Morphine. The Morphine helped for a bit but then he was back to having horrible pain. They took him in for an x-ray to make sure it was a stone(even though we already knew...). So after being at the hospital for 4 hours the Doctor came in and even seeing Mason in horrible pain would not give him more Morphine even though it was safe to do so and having proof of the x-ray that he actually did have a Kidney Stone. Mason and I were pretty mad about that since that is the reason we went to the Hospital was to relieve his Kidney Stone pain. So we left with his prescription of pain meds and headed home with a very tired baby and two hungry people, one in still a lot of pain.

So that was our wonderful Saturday, poor Mason. But then we went home ate dinner and Mase took his pain medicine and we watched the movie Babies which I enjoyed.

Morris Family Picnic

Tresa holding Max and Savannah

Sunday after the wedding we had a Morris family get together at a nearby park. We had delicious subway sandwiches for lunch. They also put together a combined baby shower for Melanie, who is due the 1st of August with a boy and Chelsea, who is due in October I think with twin girls! So that was fun to watch them open gifts. But backtracking just a bit to that morning when Mason realized he had a Kidney stone...Yeah not so fun. He has had two other ones before so he knew what it feels like. We had just finished breakfast when he came back up to our hotel room and was in a lot of pain(which he handles very well). So while I enjoyed the picnic with his family his brother Palmer took him to a nearby clinic, they sent him on his way with a nice prescription of percocet. So he only got to spend a little bit of time at the park with everyone before we had to head back up to LA for a show, his band played at a benefit concert for the leukemia and lymphoma Society. Which I wasn't able to go but I got to see the recording of it his sister Tresa took you can hear them here. Their band name is Bellum Pax and they are really good, I know its my husbands band but they are :)
