Cruise November 2013!

 The third day in Florida we drove to Miami to get to our cruise boat. Max was so excited to go on a big "pirate ship" as he called it. We all got settled in our rooms and met up for dinner later that evening. It was so cool we got to eat at the same table with the same waiters with the whole family every evening at 6pm. Max loved the 24hr pizza we could get whenever we wanted and almost every morning we ordered room service for breakfast to start our day. The kids also loved coming back to the room every night to a new towel animal and chocolates.
We went swimming on the ship a couple of times and spent a lot of time in the arcade room. We also played a round of mini golf with the boys. The first stop was Turks and Caicos, Mason and I got off the boat and it was so hot and sunny we walked around for a bit and probably because I was pregnant and the kids were so hot we went back to the ship. kinda boring but we decided to just have fun and explore the ship.
One of the days we were not stopping anywhere they had a tea time, so I took the kids with Mason's mom and sister and it was so fun. They had little cucumber sandwiches and little cakes to go with the tea. That was probably one of my favorite things. The next stop was Jamaica. Mason's whole family decided to do the on shore adventure of hiking a waterfall. But since I was pregnant and the kids were too little we didn't go and just walked outside for a bit. We were going to try and go to a beach but all of them cost so after seeing a little bit of Jamaica we headed back to the ship to swim. The last stop was Nassau. which we never left the boat..we were boring. But it was a lot more fun with two little kids to stay on the boat and be able to do nap time and go in the pool and stuff. But by the end of the cruise we were all ready to be home. It was such a fun trip and I feel so lucky we got to experience it.

Disney World and Cruise November 2013

 

So I have awesome in-laws. For our Christmas present from them they flew us all out to Florida to go to Disney World for 2 days and then on a 5 days Caribbean cruise.

So back in November we flew out to Florida and got in the big van/bus that Mason's parents rented for us all to fit in, and got to our nice hotel. The first day we went to Disney Hollywood Studios, mainly for all the Star Wars and Indiana Jones stuff for Max. We went to the Indiana Jones stunt show and Max was so nervous/excited/overwhelmed he was shaking on Mason's lap while the show was happening. I felt so bad for him. But then he started warming up to different rides and things. Mason took him on Star Tours and he thought it was the coolest thing. One of the things he loved best though was to browse the gift shops. 

The next day we went to Disney World Magic Kingdom. We started with Pirates of the Caribbean, since that was one of the rides Max was so excited for. But when we got in line he started getting scared and saying he didn't want to go on. Mason and I decided to just talk to him and convince him it was ok because we both knew once he was on he would love it. I felt so horrible though walking through the line with a crying little boy saying he didn't want to go. But once we got in the boat he thought it was so cool. And by the end he said he loved it :). So good call on our part I guess. After that he was obsessed with the Pirates gift shop and didn't want to go on Splash Mountain with me. So Mason's mom took Jack to the Tiki Room and I went on Splash mountain with everyone while Mason(greatest dad ever) stayed with Max to help him pick out a cool souvenir. 

 We took the kids on a bunch of other rides, one of their favorites was Peter an so we went on that a couple of times. It was So much fun and we ended it by watching the Lights parade.

October 2013{catch up}

 

Back in October my sister Emily, Mason, and the kids and I drove up to Wellsville to see my Aunt Ginny who we don't get up to see as much as I would like. She was so sweet and had little pumpkins for the kids and a pumpkin bucket full of treats for each of us.

She had prepared a homemade chili lunch with homemade corn bread and squash from her garden. I love eating at my aunt Ginny's, she is one of the best cooks I know. And for dessert...of course a homemade peach pie made with fresh peaches from her house. And we got to take home leftovers!

It was such a fun visit, but to short. We need to get back up to see her.

Lego boy

This kid has been crazy about Lego's since about October of last year. These pictures were taken in November and that is when he really started building towers and houses. I love watching his imagination go when he starts to build and tries to tell me what it is he just built. So for Christmas Santa had to bring him a big box of Lego's. He was pretty excited about that.

Catching up: Halloween 2013

 I have been so lazy with blogging lately, I guess pregnancy will do that to you. So here is our Halloween...from last year:
Max and Jack were pirates, I used the costumes my mom made for my brothers back in 1980 something. They felt pretty cool in their costumes and with there mustaches.
We started out Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood with our awesome neighbors. They have the cutest little boy, Oliver who Max and Jack love to play with. We got plenty of treats and then headed over to Mason's parents for our traditional pumpkin dinner with his family. We took the kids around their neighborhood with their cousins. Max only lasted for a little while before I took him back to hang out with his grandma and grandpa and daddy. Jack would have stayed out the whole night, he was having a blast pretending to fight people with his sword and then "dying" by laying on the ground. It was a perfect Halloween night.
