My Birthday

Link
I turned 25 September 30th. last Friday. I love my birthday because Mason always goes out of his way to make it so special. Like my first birthday I had while we were together(my 21st) he got me an ipod and took me to Tavern on the Green for dinner...yeah I am lucky.

And every year he makes me breakfast in bed, my choice. This year I chose waffles with strawberries. It was so good even though a little Max child ate most of my strawberries...but he was so cute doing it pointing to each one and saying "yeah?". Then we headed to my choice for lunch Kneaders, I love their veggie avocado on focaccia bread(extra kneaders sauce).

Later on we dropped off Max at Mason's sisters, we are so lucky we have her. It was so nice to have the evening to ourselves(and Jack). We went to dinner at Tsunami and it was delicious. then we headed to a movie. We had bought tickets for Drive but when we went to hand the tickets to the lady taking them she informed us no children under 10 were aloud in rated R movies after 6pm. So we looked to see what movie we could catch before 9 and decided on The Help. I had read the book so I was excited to see it, plus I like Emma Stone. It was good and Jack was so great during it, not one peep. I just had to feed him once, but it was nice because we had the whole front section to ourselves.

So another wonderful birthday over, till next year.

I heart NY

Today is a rainy cloudy day and for some reason its days like this that make me miss New York. Its the place where Mason and I fell in love, where we got engaged, and where we got to know each other so well. We lived there for a year together and it was one of the best part of our lives so far. I think why I miss it on cold dark days like this is because I loved the fall in New York and we spent the whole(pretty miserable) winter there. I remember walking down to the ferry on cold days and then riding the ferry across looking out the windows at New York and most of the time thinking of how lucky I was to live in such a great city. When Mason and I had days off and it was cold and rainy we would stay in our apartment all day and snuggle in bed and watch movies. Other days we would go out to explore the city. One of our favorite places to go was the upper west side by riverside park and going to Tom's Diner(the Seinfeld diner). I remember the cold fall day we took a long walk through the upper park of Central Park, that was the day Mason and I discovered the Museum of Natural History. We got there 10 min before it closed so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. There are so many memories there for us and I miss it so badly sometimes. We have not been back since we moved but I hope to go back soon. I can't wait to take our kids and share with them all of our special places and have them experience that feeling you can only get from New York City.

Jack: 1 month old

Jack turned one month last Friday the 30th(which was also my Birthday). It really does go by faster with the second child. He is getting cute chub in his cheeks and is the sweetest thing ever. He makes the cutest little cooing sounds and when he starts to cry its a sweet little noise then he can get pretty upset quickly. He is looking around a lot more. He has such cute dark blue eyes, I love just staring at them. He is a good sleeper at night, he has started to go about every three hours before he wakes up to eat. I can't imagine my life without this sweet, adorable little boy. I love when he is crying and just the comfort of me when I pick him up is enough to calm him down. I LOVE my sweet little prince.

Mom's Move

Yesterday I said goodbye to the last home I grew up in. Because of a lot of stuff my mom had to move out of her apartment of 7 years. We moved there when I was in my senior year of high school. We had to leave the home I had known and lived in the longest. It was hard to move away from all my friends and school. But I loved the time I lived in Sandy and went to Brighten, it partly helped me become who I am. I loved sharing a room with Emily and and going to school together, riding the bus at 6:00am to school. There are so many great memories in that place and I will miss it a lot. But I think it will be a good thing for my mom.
Mason and I visited with her on Sunday and it was so nice. I love my mommy and am so grateful to her for making a home for us kids wherever we lived, because we moved so many different places. I wasn't as sad at the time driving up that long road to my moms but now sitting and thinking about I am sad that It will never be the same.

Maximus: 18 months

My sweet baby boy is 18 months tomorrow, a year and a half already! Max is my first born and such a sweetheart. He has been such a cute big brother to Jack, he likes to kiss him and rub his belly when he crys or is getting his diaper changed. Max lately has become a little more whiny though and I think it is the whole new baby thing. But actually it only lasted a week or so because he seems to be his normal self again.
Max is such a sensitive little guy, if you get mad at him for touching something he feels really bad and gets a big lip but try's to hold back his tears, and I just have to cuddle him and then he breaks down. It is sad but the cutest thing.
He loves LOVES watching Toy Story 2 he probably watches it too much. It is the only movie he will sit and watch the whole thing of. He is also really into pretend playing, he likes to take care of his stuffed animals or play at grandma's with the little play kitchen. He will pretend to cook things and serve them.
He still is not talking a whole lot he babbles things and says, "mamama" and "dad" and if you ask him any question he always says "yeah", I love it. It is nice he says yeah all the time instead of no. Mason and I have fun asking him random questions and hearing his sweet voice respond with "yeah" and when he is sad I will ask if he wants to watch Toy Story or something and he stops crying and says "ah Yeah" Its so cute I just want to squeeze him.

I love my Maximus so much I can't stand it, he holds a special part of my heart.
