Ben & Meggie's Wedding

{Before the Wedding}

We all drove down Friday morning to Meggie's grandparents cabin for my brother Ben's wedding to my new sister in-law Meggie. It was a nice drive and when we got there we all got ready and then the ceremony began. It was so beautiful and simple. Mason played the guitar for when they walked down the aisle and I think he did great. After the ceremony we had a luncheon with yummy vegan sandwiches, fruit salad, and sparkling cranberry juice. Followed by a chocolate cake, vanilla cake, and carrot cake. After a lot of the guests left, Meggie's family and all of my family stayed the night. We had vegan s'mores and a campfire. It was fun to just hang out with everyone. The next morning we left to go home and get ready for their reception.

July Fourth {part 2}

In the afternoon everyone from my family showed up for a BBQ and swimming at our house. Everyone (except my dad who flew in that night) was there including, Emily, Colin, My mom, Brad, Ben, Meggie, Josh, Becky, Shane, Jonah, Isaiah, and Analynn.
It was so much fun and turned out a lot better then I expected. everyone had fun swimming for awhile while we got the food ready. Mason and I made a vegan and vegetarian potato salad and had chips and lemonade for everyone. Everyone just brought their own things to grill. and Ben and Meggie brought some of their yummy vegan chocolate chip cookies. We hung out and just talked, then when it got later we all headed over to Mason's parents for fireworks in their circle. We enjoyed talking and eating watermelon while we waited for it to get dark.
After the fireworks Mason and I headed to the airport to pick up my dad who flew in from Ontario, Canada for Ben and Meggie's wedding.

July Fourth {part 1}

{after their race.}
I know I am WAY late on this post but being pregnant and taking care of a 16 month old takes up a lot of my time.
But on to July fourth...

This year it was so fun to be here in Utah with so much family around, Becky and Shane and their kids were in town for my brother Ben's wedding. Since Mason and I didn't feel like going to a parade and fighting crowds we decided to meet his mom, dad, and sister Tresa up at the capitol as they came past the finish line of the half marathon. It was such a nice relaxing morning and so cool to be up at the capital. After Mason and I did a little photo shoot on the lawn we headed to meet his family at Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast. Then we headed home to get ready and kinda relax before my whole family came over for a BBQ and swimming. But more on that later.

Max the Helper

I got a new bookshelf from Target and Max decided he should help me and Mason put it together. Its crazy how long he can entertain himself for with a couple of holes and a screwdriver.

Disneyland!

Max was such a happy boy on our day at Disneyland. I think it helped that he slept a good night and had a nice nap. When we walked into Disneyland Max was so happy and pointing to things as you can see in the picture below he loved it.
We took him on Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, The Tiki Room, Mickeys house, Its a Small World, Winnie the Pooh, and some other rides I can't remember. It was so funny to see his reaction to Minnie Mouse, while we were in line to get a picture with her he was trying to struggle out of my arms and when it was our turn I let him go and he ran up to her. He gave her lots of 'high fives' and a loving hit to the face. She took it all very well, it was so cute to watch.

We got to eat dinner at the Blue Bayou Restaurant, the one where you can see the boats from Pirates going by. It was so yummy and a cool treat. Mason's parents also got us reserved seats for the Fantasmic show it was the coolest thing ever. At around 9 we got our seats in a little section by the water and we each got a tray with cheeses and crackers and the best desserts. We also got water and hot chocolate, I felt pretty cool. Max LOVED the show and just sat with his grandpa pointing and going "oh".

California Adventures

Waiting in line for the Mickey Mouse Ferris wheel
We went to California Adventures on Friday for the day. It was so fun to take Max. He loved the first ride which was the Ferris Wheel but when we took him on the Toy Story Mania ride I felt so bad how much he hated it, he cried the whole time. We took him on other outdoor rides and he seemed to enjoy those. And he was getting more used to the strange ride thing when we took him on the new Little Mermaid ride.
Mason's parents got everyone a picnic dinner and a reserved spot for the World Of Color. We all met up and ate our dinners and then went on a few more rides. Mason and I decided to take Max back to the RV in the parking lot to get his pajamas on but by the time we got to the tram he was fast asleep so when we got back to the RV we decided since it was already his bedtime and he was so sound asleep it would be best just to let him sleep and miss the World Of Color. But it was an awesome day and we had Disneyland to go to the next day.

Sienna's face painting
(She was so good about not being able to go on most of the rides when her sister Savannah could, because she wasn't tall enough)
On the Ferris Wheel

Savannah got a face painting too

I think Max's favorite part of the day. hanging out by the sourdough bread place with mom and dad, and pointing to and touching all the metal cover things.

The beginning of our trip

Our trip to California was awesome. Traveling in a motor home and doing it in 2 days was so nice. Max loved the motor home and slept so good on the way there. He loved looking out the front window and sitting on Lexi's lap. Like I said before Mason was in a lot of pain recovering from his surgery so he spent his time laying down and resting.
