Our Last day we wanted to go on the Staten Island ferry, we took that everyday when we lived on Staten Island. We lived in St. George area right just up the hill from the ferry station.
Because we were short on time we decided just to walk by it and walk through Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty. We took the Subway up towards union square to find the Warwick and Framus store, Mason's dream. He got to sit and play a few of his dream basses.
For lunch Mason wanted to find a Rafiqi's cart for a gyro. We found one on our way towards Washington square where we stopped to let Jack run around for a bit. My choice for lunch was Shake Shack, I had never had it before and heard of it a lot. We went to the one on the uws, I got the shroom burger and a red velvet concrete, it was so good! Only thing I wish was that the burger was bigger. waiting for almost 30min and not getting totally full was a little bit of a bummer.
After enjoying my lunch we went to the American Museum of Natural History. Jack was in love, the huge dinosaurs and all the animals, Jack's dream come true. I was sad Max wasn't there to enjoy it with us because I knew how much he would have loved it. Next time I guess ;). After Jack had a break down about not being able to carry a huge dinosaur toy out of the souvenir shop we left. We walked into Central Park and then decided it was time to head to get our bags from the hotel. Our flight was at 7pm so we headed straight to the airport after that. And I gotta say we are pretty good travelers, for having a baby in a stroller with one rolling bag two backpacks and a purse we sped through the city onto the subway and got to the airport in good time. And I was so proud of Jack for being such a trooper the whole trip and the flight home, he slept again. It was bittersweet leaving that awesome city behind, but we were ready to squeeze Max and give him all his gifts.
Till Next time New York, we love you.
